After a first recital for Artalinna revolving around Hungary, combining several major works by Liszt and Bartók in particular, Benedek Horváth offers us a new trip to Central Europe. He now continues with his compatriot Bartók, with two cycles of great musical richness and variety, starting with the 2 Dances, Op. 8a. He inserts into his programme a few pages of Kurtág, very evocative of a fleeting poetry. He explores especially Janáček. Two founding cycles, the Sonata "1.X.1905" and In the Mists—a favourite for Horváth, who captures with disconcerting naturalness all the popular spices of the Moravian composer.
